Market Comment
ASE ended lower 1.5% on €217.5m volume. NBG closed at €26.01, 2.58% lower,
with 2.58m shares traded. EUROB GA closed down 4.10% with 1.5m shares
traded. OPAP closed down 0.22% on 0.85m shares being traded.

Europe ended lower while internationally markets closed with gains.

We expect a flat to higher opening in the domestic market.


Corporate News
PPA GA / MSC, one of the three major container lines, filed a termination of
contract it had with the Piraeus Port Authority, on account of the concession
agreement between the latter and Cosco Pacific, regarding container handling Pier
II.

The Italian-Swiss conglomerate quoted a clause in the agreement between OLP
and Cosco, which said that if Pier II was to be controlled by any other party other
than OLP, then MSC could cancel its own agreement with OLP.

EEEK GA/ Coca-Cola HBC Eurasia and of the largest soft drinks producers in the
Far East region Slavda Group have officially announced of establishing the Far
Eastern association of Mineral Water and Soft Drinks Manufacturers. The new
organization aims to represent the common interests of the industry in state
authority organizations, as well as to clean the market from unscrupulous
manufacturers.

HTO GA/ announced that the voluntary retirement of 601 OTE employees was
completed. This delay was due to a later resolution of the military service issue.


Greek Macro
Fitch cuts Greece rating to A- from A, with negative outlook, due to worse than
initially expected 2009-budget deficit. Fitch says Greek debt to reach 120% of
GDP at end 2010, highest level since mid 90’s.
Greek 2008 budget deficit revised to 7.7% of GDP form 5% reported in April,
according to Eurostat.


World Economy
EuroZone govt debt to GDP ratio rose to 69.3% as of end 2008 from 66% in 2007,
according to Eurostat
