Market Comment
ASE ended 2.7% lower yesterday, on thin volume €173m. Banks lost 4.69% . EFG
fell 5.98% with 13m shares traded and NBG fell 5.56% with 51m shares traded.
EEK closed higher 2.44%. Bond spread widened to 194 basis points.

Greek Macro
- The Consumer Price Index (CPI) in November 2009, as compared to November
2008, increased by 2.0%. A year earlier, the annual rate of change of the CPI was
2.9%.
The CPI in November 2009, as compared to October 2009, increased by 0.5%. A
year earlier, the monthly rate of change of the CPI was –0.3%.

The Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) in November 2009, as
compared to November 2008, increased by 2.1%. A year earlier, the annual rate of
change of the HICP was 3.0%. The HICP in November 2009, as compared to
October 2009, increased by 0.6%. A year earlier, the monthly rate of change of the
HICP was –0.2%.

- ATHEX
The participation of international investors in the capitalization of the Greek Stock
Exchange on 30/11/2009 slightly reduced compared to the previous month at
49.3%, compared to 49.7% in October 2009 and 48.7% in November 2008.

- Standard and Poor's put the outlook on Greece's credit rating on negative watch
on Monday over the country's fiscal woes, following similar moves by other major
rating agencies concerned by the euro zone member's ballooning debt and deficit.

- European Central Bank President Jean-Claude Trichet underlined his confidence
in the Greek government on Monday to implement what he called "very
courageous" measures to tackle the country's debt situation.
