Market Comment The Greek market moved in negative territory yesterday closing down 0.6% on very light volume, €65.5m. Eurobank retreated 2.50%, NBG slowed approx 1.7%, Bank of Piraeus slowed –1.10% and Alpha Bank ended 1.07% lower. Bank of Cyprus +1.43%, CCH +1%, PPC +0.67%, HTO +0.58% and OPAP +0.13%. After the recent downgrades the market is expected to ease down. Amid a lack of news flow, due to holiday period, trading volume will stand at low levels.
Corporate News PPC Head said that the company would launch an immediate tender for Ptolemaida. Arthouros Zervos said in a speech that PPC attributes special importance to Western Macedonias Energy Center, which he called the heart of the countrys power system. Greek Macro Greek producer prices rose 1 percent year-on-year in November, pushed higher by an increase in costs for energy and durable consumer goods compared to the same period last year, according to NSS. The index posted its first annual increase since November 2008.
