κοιτατε οι ξενοι - ουδετεροι πόσο ευστοχα βλέπουν τα πράγματα:

A total of five ministers have now resigned, one full one and the rest deputies. And the Greek police foundation is now offering a bounty of one euro for the "Troika" mission chiefs in country. €1 for their heads (the message must be that the EU officials are so hated that Greeks would almost pay for the privilege of hunting them down). I'm not making that up:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/d...isis-live.htmlI think we can say the stinky stuff had officially hit the fan in Greece
Default is not merely the better option, it's the only option now. The only option to save themselves, that is. They are long past the point of no return. All austerity is doing is killing them, making debt to GDP worse, *increase*. Only option at that point, to save your self, is to default. That bad debt must be destroyed.
The result will be horrible. They'll be cut off from the markets, and can't spend a dime more than they take in, as no one will them a dime. The result will be economic depression. But they will pull out.
If they continue, they're in debt slavery. They'll still go through a depression, probably a worse one, but debt to GDP will increase, and all that pain will be for nothing but to continue to pay off creditors, and yet still go deeper in debt. With default, debt to GDP is 0. No more interest payments and no principal to roll (or even try to pay off).
It's roughly like a family drowing in debt. They can declare bankruptcy, and continue to feed themselves and their children (and not much else), or try to pay it off at the cost of letting their children starve.
We're all heading down this road. We are all Greece, really. Where the point of no return for us (US) is, I don't know for certain, but we're close if not already past. Japan is certainly past it. That's the math, of course. What matters is the psychology, and when markets realize that point has been past and turn Bondzilla loose.
